Lawyers Assistance Programs for Mental Health and Substance Abuse Help

If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety or another issue that is interfering with your well-being, Florida Lawyers Assistance (“FLA”) is a great resource for all Out of State Florida Bar members. Importantly, the service is free and confidential. The FLA will support and help you work through challenging times, customizing its assistance based on your individual needs. It also offers several different newly-formed remote attorney support groups to help you manage any difficulties ranging from stress, anxiety, depression and isolation to substance abuse or other addiction concerns. Feel connected to other Florida Bar members safely and privately from your home or office. Check out the link in the sidebar provided by the Florida Lawyers Assistance Program.

If you would like to be connected to a local lawyers assistance program, please use the link in the sidebar for the American Bar Association Commission on Lawyers Assistance Programs to find one near you, or call the FLA and they can help connect you with a similar resource in your state.

Florida Lawyers Helpline

The Florida Bar mental health helpline (1-833-FL1-WELL) is a free and confidential service that connects members with a professional counselor. There’s no cost for calls to the hotline and you may be referred for up to three free telehealth counseling sessions per year to help you develop strategies to overcome life’s challenges, balance priorities, and better handle both personal and professional pressures.
