Dear Out of State Members,
Each year, the Florida Bar President selects one recipient from each Florida judicial circuit and one out-of-state Florida Bar member, to receive the Pro Bono Service Award for that circuit. Nomination forms are available at: http://www.floridabar.org/probonoawards. You can also go to www.flabar.org, click on "Public," then click on "Pro Bono/Legal Aid Information" to find this link. A copy is attached to this Memorandum.
We request that your firm or public interest organization consider nominating one or more Out-of-State Florida Bar members for this award. Self-nominations are also accepted. This award recognizes both contributions made during the past year as well as career pro bono contributions and community service. The pro bono activities do not need to have any connection to Florida - the only requirement is that the attorney performing the pro bono services be a member of the Florida Bar (inactive members are also eligible). Employees of legal aid organizations are not eligible. The deadline for nominations is November 8, 2017. Please submit all nominations to:
Mr. Mark Hohmeister
Public Information Coordinator

Please share this information and nomination form link with the pro bono coordinator for your firm or public interest organization, or other eligible candidate. If your firm or public interest organization does not have a pro bono coordinator, please forward this information to those Florida Bar members in your firm who may qualify for recognition. Finally, please consider forwarding this information to your other non-Florida colleagues and firm offices where you have Florida Bar members.
Please call or e-mail Duffy Myrtetus (804-346-5317; firstname.lastname@example.org) or Mark Hohmeister (850-561-5764; email@example.com) if you have any questions.
